Terms of Use
QR Scanner & Creator — Official Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ScanPro Android application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License and use of the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by applicable law.
2. Advertising and local-first processing
ScanPro is supported by Google AdMob banner, native, interstitial, app-open and optional rewarded advertising, subject to applicable privacy choices. Available advertising choices are managed through Google UMP and Settings → Ad privacy choices. Premium and Premium Lifetime include ads; only One-time Support or an active Monthly Supporter entitlement removes them. Your scans and created QR codes are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. You are responsible for the content you scan or generate and must not use the App for any unlawful purpose. QR codes for PDFs or other files store a public file URL; ScanPro does not host files. Payment and cryptocurrency QR codes encode a request or address, not a transfer of funds. Verify the destination, payment details and wallet network before proceeding. Static codes do not depend on an active subscription, but linked sites or files may become unavailable.
3. Free tier and Premium features
The App offers a free tier (limited daily scans/creates and limited history) and optional paid Premium features. These are described in the App. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, with or without notice.
- Free tier — 5 scans, 5 QR creations and 5 barcode creations per day, plus 1 batch export and 1 batch reading session per day. History keeps the newest 50 entries in total across all scans, creations and categories. New entries replace older entries when that limit is exceeded.
- Premium / Premium Lifetime — unlimited daily scans, QR/barcode creation and bulk uses, unlimited history, custom QR colors, gradients, shapes and logos, and barcode appearance customization. Premium includes ads.
- One-time Support / Monthly Supporter — removes ads while the corresponding entitlement is valid. These products do not independently grant Premium usage or customization features.
- Optional rewarded ads — where offered and available, completing the required ad reward may grant one extra use in the category that reached its limit. Rewards are not guaranteed for unavailable, interrupted or unfinished ads; no purchase is required to decline an ad.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing (via RevenueCat). Payment terms, pricing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Google Play's terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time from Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
- Subscription prices and trial periods (where offered) are shown in the App before purchase.
- Unless canceled before the end of the period, subscriptions renew automatically at the price in effect at the time of renewal.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with its refund policy.
- If you receive a refund for a paid product, the associated entitlement/access may be revoked automatically. Ads may resume if ad-removal access is refunded, revoked or expires, subject to applicable privacy choices. Buying Premium Lifetime does not automatically cancel a separate monthly subscription; manage it in Google Play.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App to store, transmit, or generate content that is illegal, infringing, fraudulent, or harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems, or disrupt its operation.
- Circumvent any usage limits, payment, or entitlement controls.
- Misuse a free trial or attempt to obtain multiple trials where not permitted.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its name, logo, code, and all related materials are owned by the developer. You may not claim ownership or use the ScanPro name or branding without permission.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
