Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Name Days Android application ("App"). By downloading, installing, purchasing through, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

The App provides local name-day calendars, date lookup, search, favorites, tracked-country lists, sharing tools, customizable widgets, and optional local reminders. Core calendar and reminder content is processed on your device. The App does not require a Name Days account.

2. Cultural and informational content

Name-day traditions vary by country, region, denomination, source, and year. Calendar information is provided for general informational and cultural purposes. The developer does not guarantee that every name, spelling, date, country, or tradition is complete or universally accepted.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to rely on calendar information, reminders, generated messages, or sharing content.

3. Local reminders

Reminders are scheduled locally and are not sent from a developer-operated server. Android, battery settings, device manufacturers, restarts, permissions, and background restrictions may delay or prevent a notification. The App uses multiple local scheduling mechanisms but does not guarantee delivery at an exact minute or on every device.

4. Optional products

The App may offer the following products through Google Play. Product names, prices, taxes, currencies, and availability may vary by country and are displayed by Google Play before purchase.

4.1 Premium Lifetime

Premium Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. Subject to the current App version, it unlocks Premium features, including:

• Unlimited tracked countries;
• Unlimited favorites;
• Custom daily reminder time;
• Premium status in the App.

Premium Lifetime still includes advertising. It does not grant a separate Supporter entitlement or Monthly Supporter launcher icons. There is no monthly Premium product in this App.

4.2 One-Time Supporter

One-Time Supporter is a separate one-time, non-consumable contribution. While its entitlement remains valid, it removes all in-app advertising, support-request cards and prompts, and provides a Supporter badge. Unless the purchase screen explicitly states otherwise, it does not unlock Premium limits such as unlimited countries, unlimited favorites, or custom reminder time.

4.3 Monthly Supporter

Monthly Supporter is an automatically renewing subscription. While active, it removes all in-app advertising, support-request cards and prompts and provides the Monthly Supporter badge and eligible Supporter launcher icons. Unless the purchase screen explicitly states otherwise, it does not unlock Premium feature limits.

4.4 Product combinations

Products are tracked separately by Google Play and RevenueCat. A user may hold more than one eligible product. Premium Lifetime activates only Premium benefits; Supporter and Monthly Supporter are shown as owned only when their respective entitlements are valid. Purchasing Premium Lifetime does not cancel a Monthly Supporter subscription.

5. Billing and automatic renewal

Payments are charged by Google Play, not directly by the developer. For subscriptions:

• The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled through Google Play;
• Google Play displays the billing period and final localized price before confirmation;
• Cancellation normally stops future renewal and access may continue until the end of the paid period;
• Removing the App does not automatically cancel a subscription;
• You can use the App's "Manage or cancel subscription" button or Google Play account settings.

6. Restoration, refunds, and entitlement changes

Eligible purchases can be restored using the same Google Play account. The App uses RevenueCat to verify and restore entitlements. Restoration may require internet access and a valid store response.

Refunds are governed by Google Play policies and applicable law. A refund, chargeback, revocation, subscription expiration, billing failure, or cancellation becoming effective may remove the associated entitlement. The App may refresh purchase status at launch, when returning to the foreground, after purchase, and when Restore Purchases is used.

If an ad-removal entitlement expires, is refunded, or is revoked, ads may return once the updated status is verified. Cancelling Monthly Supporter normally preserves ad removal until the paid period expires.

Temporary store, network, or RevenueCat outages may delay purchase activation or entitlement updates. The developer may correct incorrectly granted or revoked access once verified status becomes available.

7. Launcher icons

Eligible purchases may unlock alternative launcher icons. Icon updates depend on the Android launcher and may be delayed by launcher caching. Some launchers may briefly show the old icon, create a new launcher entry, or require the home screen to refresh. The developer cannot guarantee identical behavior on every device.

8. Advertising and community support

The App is supported by Google AdMob adaptive banner, native, interstitial, and app-open ads, together with optional purchases. Ads are requested only when Google's UMP privacy checks allow them, and applicable consent choices are respected. Interstitials are associated with user navigation, not automatic startup; app-open ads are a separate, frequency-limited format. Ad availability is not guaranteed, and a support message may be shown when an ad is unavailable. Supporter removes ads while its entitlement remains valid, and Monthly Supporter removes ads while active; Premium Lifetime does not remove advertising. A purchase is optional and is not required for the basic free functionality described in the current store listing.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, bypass, manipulate, or fraudulently obtain paid entitlements except where applicable law expressly permits reverse engineering;
• Interfere with billing, purchase verification, reminder scheduling, or App security;
• Use the App or its content unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others;
• Redistribute substantial parts of the App, its original design, code, or bundled databases without permission.

10. Intellectual property

The App's source code, design, branding, original text, graphics, and compiled resources are owned by the developer or used under applicable licenses. Cultural names and traditions remain the property or heritage of their respective communities and are not claimed as exclusive developer property.

11. Third-party services and links

The App relies on Google AdMob and UMP for advertising and privacy messaging, and Google Play and RevenueCat for optional purchases and may open external websites selected by you. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party availability, content, payment systems, or privacy practices.

12. Availability and changes

The App may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued. Features may change for security, compatibility, legal, cultural-data, or product reasons. Reasonable efforts will be made not to remove paid access arbitrarily, subject to store rules, refunds, technical feasibility, and applicable law.

13. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, exact calendar completeness, exact notification delivery, compatibility with every device, or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from missed reminders, inaccurate cultural calendar data, device restrictions, third-party services, or loss of local preferences. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. The developer may restrict use affected by fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, or manipulated purchases. Store-managed purchases and refunds remain subject to Google Play records and applicable consumer law.

16. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by the Name Days Privacy Policy.

17. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when features, products, providers, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
