Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Modern Calculator Android application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

The App provides a scientific calculator with standard and advanced mathematical functions, calculation history, a support screen, and more than 100 tools for algebra, 2D and 3D geometry, function graphs, converters, finance, health, date and time, and everyday calculations. All calculations are performed locally on your device. The App does not require an account. Currency-rate refreshes require an internet connection.

2. Accuracy of Calculations

The App uses standard IEEE 754 double-precision floating-point arithmetic. Results are provided for general informational and educational purposes. The developer does not guarantee that every result is suitable for professional, financial, engineering, medical, or legal use.

You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them for critical decisions.

3. Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of the App displays ads from Google AdMob, including:

• Adaptive banner ads at the bottom of the screen;
• App Open ads when returning from background (after 3 returns or 3-hour cooldown);
• Interstitial ads after 6 tab switches or 25 calculations (3-hour cooldown between displays);
• Native ads in the Support screen and calculation history.

Ad display is governed by Google AdMob policies. By using the free version, you consent to ad display as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Remove Ads — One-Time Purchase

A one-time, non-consumable "Remove Ads" purchase is available through Google Play. When active:

• The AdMob SDK is not initialized — no ad requests are made;
• All banner, interstitial, app open, and native ads are disabled;
• The purchase is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored after reinstall via the Restore Purchase button.

The price is set in local currency by Google Play and displayed before purchase confirmation.

The App may additionally offer Supporter and Premium monthly or lifetime plans. Their benefits, renewal terms and price are displayed in the App and in Google Play before confirmation. Premium features do not remove ads unless the specific purchase description explicitly includes ad removal.

5. Billing and Restoration

Payments are processed by Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. The developer does not receive your payment card details.

• Remove Ads is a one-time purchase — there is no recurring charge;
• Refunds are subject to Google Play refund policies;
• A refund or revocation will remove the associated entitlement after Google Play and RevenueCat report the updated status;
• Restoration requires an internet connection and a valid Google Play response.
• Monthly Supporter and Premium plans renew until cancelled through Google Play; one-time and lifetime purchases do not renew.

6. Calculation History

The App stores calculator and tool history locally via Android SharedPreferences. The free plan keeps up to 100 entries; Premium can unlock up to 500 entries. This data:

• Never leaves your device;
• Is deleted when you use "Clear History" or uninstall the App;
• Is not backed up to cloud services.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• Bypass or fraudulently obtain the Remove Ads entitlement;
• Use the App in ways that violate applicable law or infringe the rights of others;
• Redistribute the App or its compiled resources without permission.

8. Intellectual Property

The App's source code, design, branding, graphics, and compiled resources are owned by RDC Apps or used under applicable licenses. Mathematical formulas and algorithms are not claimed as exclusive property.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates:

• Google AdMob — advertising (free version only);
• Google Play Billing — purchase processing;
• RevenueCat — purchase verification and restoration;
• Google UMP — consent management.

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party availability, content, or payment systems.

10. Availability and Updates

The App may be updated, modified, or discontinued. Features may change for technical, legal, or product reasons. Reasonable efforts will be made not to remove paid access arbitrarily, subject to store rules and applicable law.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or suitability for professional use. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from calculation results, third-party services, or loss of local data. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. The developer may restrict access in cases of fraud, abuse, or manipulated purchases. Store-managed purchases remain subject to Google Play records and applicable consumer law.

14. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by the Modern Calculator Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

16. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when features, products, providers, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
